NAPLAN* is the National Assessment Program in Literacy And Numeracy. It consists of tests in Literacy and Numeracy for years 3, 5, 7 and 9. These tests take place nationally each year in May.
These tests measure literacy and numeracy standards in schools against the national benchmarks. They also provide parents and schools with information on each child’s skills in literacy and numeracy.
