What? Academic tests in Written Expression, Comprehension and Interpretation, Mathematics and Science.

 
When? Tests held in March/April each year.
 
Purpose? The tests decide which students are offered scholarships to enter an independent school at Year 8 level. The content of the tests is set by ACER. Other schools offer their own individual scholarships in other subjects (eg. music or sport).
