| This book is arranged to follow the sequence of work as set out in the NSW Targeting Maths Teaching Guide. It breaks up the maths curriculum into four terms of work. After teaching a concept, students work through the activities and pages of the Targeting Maths student book. At the end of each unit, students complete the relevant page in their Student Assessment Portfolio.
Each portfolio assessment page includes the outcome/s that students are working towards. Students' performances are easily marked and teachers can assess whether students are developing, achieving or excelling in each topic. A student self assessment section has been included so that students can show how they feel about their own performance in different areas of maths.
