| Excel Test Skills: AIM Tests Year 3 is an easy-to-use guide to help students prepare for the Achievement Improvement Monitor (AIM) Tests in Year 3 which are compulsory in Victorian schools. The Achievement Improvement Monitor or Basic Skills Tests are standardised English and Mathematics Tests. They focus on the knowledge considered essential for learning in school. They are a standard source of information about each child and his/her performance. It provides information in Years 3, 5 and 6 on how well students are achieving the learning outcome of the curriculum.
The literacy tests focus on both reading and comprehension of different types of information from stories and articles and the corrects use of language especially spelling, punctuation and grammar.
